It’s So Easy!
Using Calendula Salve couldn’t be easier! Using clean hands, scoop a small amount of salve out of the jar and apply to the desired area gently! That’s it!
Wish I had known this
I have been trying to grow calendula plants and flowers but they did not look healthy and I did not know what to do with the plant to make it useful for all these things that I surely need. Yesterday, I took all of the scrawny plants and threw them away!!

Now you know for moving forward, Jane! You are going to do amazing on this journey. Don't worry....we all have those hiccups once in awhile. It's a part of the experience. ;)
Making Calendula Salve
I enjoyed the whole process of making the salve using the crockpot. I've always used the 6 to 8 week process but my brother needed a salve right away for severely dry skin on his feet. I didn't have a large bowl with a lid so I used a glass bowl with a plate that fit perfectly on top. I added the water to just below the top of the bowl. It was done in five hours to my surprise and joy. My brother ended up with the salve and a 14 oz glass jar of oil to use as he pleases. I kept the last 7 oz of oil for myself and I'm enjoying how soft my skin feels. I used it as a base for my face today and it was wonderful! I'm so glad I paid attention to the email that was sent. Thank you for all that you do for us. Have a blessed day!

We are happy you read that email too, Betty Ann. ;) Thank you so much for the amazing feedback. We are pleased to hear this has proven to be beneficial so far. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Slight Disappointment
The Calendula flower package indicated there were 4 portions but the total weight was just the 1 oz needed for the recipe. Instructions - combine flowers in jojoba or olive oil. I seen videos indicating that grinding the flowers into a powder produces a better quality oil.
Love the Salve
This calendula salve has been my go to remedy for everything! From dry flaky skin to an injured thumb, the soothing salve has really helped to make things better. And it was easy to make!

So far so good
The smell of the calendula is quite lovely, very fresh. I am working it up in an alchemical fashion. I poured organic olive oil over the flowers at sunrise on a Sunday morning - bringing solar forces into a solar flower. I placed the tincture in an incubator - a converted terrarium w/terrarium heater which is covered, so the tincture is in a warm dark environment most of the time. I take it out in the morning around sunrise and shake it, exposing it to the sun's morning energies. I expect to tincture for 6 weeks minimum and will report back when it gets converted into a salve.
